About UTAC

Since 1924, UTAC has led the mobility industry, driving progress toward a safer, cleaner future. Offering a wide range of services to support bringing your vehicle to market.

The Challenge

UTAC, an Anglo-French automotive engineering company contracted People Experience Hub to design, launch and analyse its first global Colleague Voice Survey.

Their requirement was for a survey that would provide a comprehensive snapshot of employee sentiment, balancing inclusivity, compliance and operational concerns across a diverse international workforce – including technical staff that did not have day-to-day access to email – while limited to 40 questions. The survey and reporting dashboards would be delivered in multiple languages.

The culture of the organisation meant that key stakeholders were highly attentive to detail and compliance-driven, and therefore concerned that everything was delivered to a high degree of quality, with information security and anonymity a priority.

The Solution

We designed an engagement survey based on our Px3 framework, in close collaboration with the people team, to reflect their brand voice and values while enabling benchmarking.

The survey was translated into Chinese, German, French, Japanese, Romanian and Finnish. Translations were done initially by a professional agency before being socialised in each of the territories to ensure that the integrity of the survey was maintained.

Results

  • Using the Px3 framework, designed to meet UTAC’s brand voice and values while being globally relevent.

  • Delivered in six languages, from survey completion to reporting dashboards.

  • Reached workers in testing labs and other deskless environments using QR codes.
